On first sniff out of the bottle, the scent is quite sharp, almost chemical. This is not a criticism: it has a tonic effect: bracing and invigorating you for the journey ahead. Once the initial sharpness mellows, petrichor and rosewood mingle and bring to mind a stone church on in the Scottish highlands on a misty morning. The vetiver steals in, wrapping you in a close, intimate embrace, like a slow dance, it's hands cradled in the small of your back. This isn't a fragrance that enters the room before you do: to fully appreciate it, one must be quite close.
